3 Colorful Eyeshadow Palettes That Will Break You Out of Your Neutral Rut

Go through my eyeshadows at home and you'll be met with an abundance of browns, taupes and creams, but if you're seeking anything more exciting than navy or gold, you'll have difficulty finding any. Sorry. Neutral shadows are my fave because they're just so darn practical. I can use them for daytime or nighttime looks, and they go with EVERYTHING.
Because I love them so much, I'm pretty limited in the colorful eye-makeup department, but I really want to change that this summer. If you're looking to break out of a neutral rut like me, here are three colorful palettes you could be dipping your brushes into.

For sugary-sweet looks: Too Faced Sugar Pop Eye Palette

The first thing that drew me to this palette was the really cute macaron print on the packaging, since the sugary treat is my favorite dessert on the planet. But as I got to swatching and blending, I realized the shadows were quite good as well.

8 Dresses to Wear to Any Wedding This Season

Wedding season is slowly creeping up on us, so it's time you start thinking about what you're going to wear to the one or three you'll be attending this summer.

If you think what you wear doesn't matter, guess again. There are more no-nos when it comes to what to wear to a wedding than there are passes, so it's important you put thought into your ensemble.

Everyone should know to never show up in white unless it's requested, or you're the bride. Another look that can be tricky is lace. Since many wedding dresses either feature lace, or are covered in it, it's safe to assume to stay away from the fabric altogether. Though the list of what shouldn't be worn goes on and on, the main reason many of us show up to a wedding inappropriately dressed is because we never dress for the theme, atmosphere or location.

If you're attending a black tie wedding, it's best to show up in either a gown, or a little black dress. If you're attending an outdoor wedding, something summery like floral or pastel would be more suitable than navy or black.

Be sure to read the invitation, or ask someone in the wedding party about the theme, so you won't show up wearing a gown to a casual close family and friends ceremony.

To help you figure out your look, we've compiled 8 dresses to wear to a summer wedding. Get your shine on with these dresses below.

Warm Weather Hairstyles for Ladies

t's officially June, and the temps have really been rising lately. Even though I'm so ready for summer, the sweltering hot weather can be brutal at times. It was actually one of the reasons I chopped my hair a few months ago. If your hair is longer, having your hair pulled back and away from your face is always a good idea this time of year. I'm usually tempted to throw my hair into ponytail and call it a day, but these hairstyles remind me that simple doesn't always have to be boring. Keep scrolling to see a collection of my favorite warm weather hairstyles to help you conquer the hot summer months…
Simple Chignon Updo
Believe it or not, this chic chignon is easier than it looks. Add a little volume by teasing, secure a low ponytail, and twist your hair into a bun.

Triple Braid Pony
Like the saying goes, the third time's the charm. These sweet braids give the illusion of a fuller pony and add some texture to it as well.

Three Twisted Buns
These cute little buns are as simple as can be! All you have to do is separate your hair into three sections, grab your bobby pins and start twisting!

Messy Bun
I love this tutorial because it gives an unconventional element to the everyday messy bun. This one is for all you ladies with long locks.

Headband Tuck
This hairstyle may seem complicated but all you need is an elastic headband. Once you've secured your headband on the crown of your head, begin tucking strands of your hair into it. Keep tucking until your finished product looks a little something like this.

Crisscross Ponytail
This tousled ponytail gives the illusion of a fishtail. To conquer this look all you have to do is tie your hair into a ponytail with a few loose pieces. Separate the pieces into sections and one-by-one cross them over each other, secure and tease!

Sleek Parted Ponytail
I couldn't leave a relatively simple ponytail out of the mix. There's something so timeless about a deep side part. It gives the classic ponytail a little something extra, don't you think?

The next time you feel like tying your hair on top of your head, consider trying out one of these cute hairstyles instead. Join me in beating the summer heat in style!

Different Ways to Wear Distressed Jeans

The need for dressing up in a serious way when it comes to office attire is fading away. In fact the line of margin between corporate dress code and casual wear is becoming blurred with fashion-hungry employees looking for appropriate options to look adventurous and in-your-face.
Are you the types who feel 'distressed' wearing torn jeans? If you are shying away from wearing ripped off jeans, it means you are way behind in the fashion radar.
A torn out pair of denims continues to evolve in the then-and-now. Call it as a wardrobe detox or rule-bending, distressed jeans give you a sassy street style look. In fact, you can wear distressed old denims on weekends and on casual days too. Sometimes, distressed denim might make you look unkempt or disorganised but when you accessorise it with the right statement pieces they can look anything but sloppy. Here are we go sharing some ideas with you on chic ways of wearing distressed and shredded jeans. Hope you enjoy this new breed of fashionable clothing and try to adopt and emulate it.

THE 'TORN' APPROACH IN DISTRESSED JEANS
At times, one needs to do something off the conventional pattern to look different. Ripped off distressed jeans absolutely fits the bill when it comes to it.
There are two ways in wearing a pair of distressed jeans – either expose whole of your knees or few sections of your leg. Both ways, you shall look fashion fantabulous.
While dressing in this retro fashion statement, make sure you are tagging along the right accessories such as slick heels or flats, depending on your comfort factor. If you want a distressed flavour to last you long, then go for subtle shreds in your jeans.

SKINNY STUNNER
Looking skinny has its own charm. You can in fact create a distressed cult of your own by wearing skinny jeans. They help you create a neat and sexier silhouette. It is in fact cut out for everyday wear so that you can pair it with just about anything in your wardrobe.

TOMBOYISH TALL
If you want to hang around with your friends and boyfriends over a game of pool, then do so by slipping into a tomboyish pair of distressed jeans. Team up the distressed and rugged looking denim with an edgy looking sweatshirt, Timberland shoes and you will see how cool and hot you will look the whole day.

EXAMPLE OF FASHION PAIRING WITH DISTRESSED JEANS
Turning a fashion muse by wearing a pair of tattered distressed jeans can be a lot easier. All you need is a button-down top and a pair of sunglasses when you are moving around in the heat. When inside a glass ceiling where the sunshades will have to be kept aside, you can go ahead and substitute this look by wearing silver or artificial jewellery, mini rings and watch. Do not forget to pair this fashion ensemble with pointed pumps.

HOW TO WEAR DISTRESSED JEANS
The right style makes all the difference when it comes to wearing shredded distressed jeans. Couple of things you need to follow while wearing them:
a. Pair your jeans with basis staples such as tank-tops, sweatshirts or button-down shirts.
b. Maintain their carefree nature by wearing pointy flat sandals or sneakers (depending on the occasion).
c. Carry accessories such as roomy bag or a denim jacket to look cut out for a street-ready look.

Wearing jeans tattered at the knee or slashed in the appropriate places will place you in the category of celeb value this season. Go ahead and indulge in distressed jeans, this season's chic fashion code.

PLATFORMS – if you love the look of high heels but hate the pain they cause you, platforms may just be the answer to your prayers. These darling little things can take you from day to night effortlessly and comfortably. Pair them up with shorts or a cute little skirt for an easy daytime look or wear them with a nice body hugging dress for a quick happy hour look.

MULES / SLIDES – mules were one of the biggest and most popular footwear of choice in the 90s and they're back with a gorgeous new look (and with fab new styles, too)! If you're into the latest trends, you might want to consider getting yourself a pair of two of these gorgeously intricate and chic shoes. Lace up shoes can instantly add a touch of girly style to any look.

FRINGE – anything with fringe is a hot commodity this summer, including shoes. Now, you may be thinking that the only fringe shoes that comes to mind are boots but believe me, there are so much more styles out there that you can work and experiment with that will seamlessly blend right in with your summer wardrobe. If you're looking for variation, you can also try tassels.

Power pumps will give you that nice boost of confidence, be it in the office or out. They're perfect for adding that lady boss vibe to any look, even the everyday street style ones. How to Wear Lace Up Flats

If there's one pair of shoes that you should definitely get this summer, it's the lace up flats. Any fashion girl would know that these are the It shoes of the season and that is with good reason. You can wear them with just about any outfit and they'll blend in seamlessly and beautifully. If you have yet to get a pair of these darlings, check out these ideas on how to wear lace up flats.

SHOW OFF– the best way to wear lace up flats is to wear them with something that will allow you to show them off, like a pair of shorts, a cute skirt, gorgeous dress or, if you want more coverage, cropped pants. Of course, you can still wear your lace up flats with regular jeans and all but then they wouldn't be the 'star of the show' or the focal point of your look.

DRESS UP A SIMPLE OUTFIT – speaking of focal point, if you're looking for a pair of shoes that you can wear with simple and not so dressy outfits to make them stand out, you need a pair of lace up flats. GET COMPLICATED – you might be a little puzzled but trust me on this one. The beauty of lace up flats lie in the complexity of the design. The more complicated – looking you flats are, the better. Of course, just because they look complicated doesn't mean the really You can choose one with crisscrossing straps in front and have a zip up closure at the back for easy on and off access.

GO FOR A NICE COLOR – if you're easily intimidated by the complex design of lace up flats, you might want to start with something a little easier like a black or brown pair. Otherwise, feel free to get brave and bold with your color choices. Red lace up flats scream sexy confidence while neons are perfect for summer dressing. Choose a nice color that you like and know you can wear with most of the things in your closet to make sure you get the most use out of your gorgeous lace ups.
